Job summary

Staples is seeking an Asset Protection Associate to support the Distribution Center operations. You will help maintain safety, monitor security systems, and supervise visitor management while ensuring efficient logistics across facilities.

The role emphasizes protecting people and assets, with responsibilities spanning access control, incident response, audits, and training compliance. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in warehouse operations, security, loss prevention, asset protection, or related field.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Experience with CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection preferred.
• Experience in distribution center, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Support Asset Protection and Safety programs in the Distribution Center.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, intrusion, fire, and burglar alarm systems.
• Manage front desk, lobby, and switchboard operations.
• Verify visitor authorization and escort procedures.
• Conduct bag checks and scanning to prevent theft.
• Monitor entrances, parking lots, yards for security concerns.
• Analyze security data and video to identify loss prevention opportunities.
• Perform audits of security systems across facilities.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies; coordinate with local services.
• Assist with emergency planning, drills, and crisis response.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and training.
• Maintain records for safety and compliance training.
• Partner with leadership to promote safety culture.
