Warehouse and Materials Supervisor

Summary:
This is a hands‑on role for a leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys rolling up their sleeves. You’ll manage all aspects of warehouse and materials operations while actively participating in day‑to‑day activities. The ideal candidate is a jack‑of‑all‑trades who can balance tactical execution with strategic thinking—someone eager to lead a team, coach others, and drive continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading and managing warehouse and materials processes
• Coaching and developing team members while staying hands‑on
• Overseeing inventory control, material movement, and warehouse organization
• Leading shipping and receiving operations

Responsibilities:

• Hands‑On Leadership: Actively participate in warehouse operations while supervising, training, and coaching team members in shipping, receiving, and inventory control. Review time cards and conducting performance evaluations.
• Team Development: Mentoring and holding the team accountable for performance and process adherence.
• Operational Excellence:
  • Ensure and participate in accurate material movement, staging, clocking, issuing and closing orders in M2M; correct errors and provide coaching.
  • Organize warehouse layout and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits.
  • Oversee and conduct staging, job order picking, packing standards, and timely material flow.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive efficiency through technology adoption and process enhancements.
• Logistics & Cost Control: Coordinate freight movement, negotiate carrier contracts, and troubleshoot shipping/receiving issues to prevent recurrence.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Manufacturing, and Engineering to ensure on‑time delivery and exceptional customer service.
• Compliance & Safety: Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to all company policies, ESD/PPE procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, materials management.
• Prior experience in a hands‑on supervisory or lead role; proven ability to coach and develop team members.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (experience with M2M or similar preferred).
• Strong understanding of inventory control, shipping/receiving processes, and warehouse organization.
• Preferred Ability to analyze data and drive process improvements.
• Comfortable with technology adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.

Physical & Other Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a warehouse environment.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with PPE and ESD standards.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must pass federal‑level background check and drug screening upon offer.
