Job summary

Topicz, a premier distributor based in Cincinnati, seeks a dynamic Warehouse Lead to manage up to 50 associates, driving safety, accuracy, and daily productivity.

This second-shift role runs Monday-Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to end of shift, with responsibilities including coaching, staffing, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement. The position offers comprehensive health, dental, vision, life insurance, 5% 401(k) match, PTO, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years warehouse leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS/ERP).
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of up to 50 warehouse associates to achieve productivity, accuracy, safety, and compliance goals.
• Partner with leadership to communicate daily priorities, staffing needs, and production requirements.
• Monitor team performance and ensure safety policies and OSHA regulations are followed.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and coaching of warehouse personnel.
• Investigate operational concerns and implement effective solutions.
• Monitor attendance and staffing coverage to maintain workflow.
• Perform hands-on warehouse functions as needed (order selection, stocking, replenishment, quality control).
• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, and inventory accuracy.
• Serve as a hands-on leader and role model for culture and workplace safety.

Warehouse Lead Role

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on leader who leads and develops a team of up to 50 team members while ensuring safety, accuracy, compliance, and efficient operations. This role coordinates daily priorities and staffing, coaches team members, addresses operational challenges, and partners with leadership to drive productivity and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate leads by example and helps build a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and operational excellence. This is a second shift role with a standard schedule of Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. through end of shift.

Warehouse Lead Job Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of up to 50 warehouse associates to achieve productivity, accuracy, safety, and compliance goals.
• Partner with warehouse leadership to communicate daily priorities, staffing needs, production requirements, and operational expectations.
• Monitor team performance and ensure employees consistently follow company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Assist with onboarding, training, development and coaching order selectors, stackers, and other warehouse personnel.
• Investigate operational concerns and discrepancies and assist with identifying and implementing effective solutions.
• Monitor employee attendance, downtime, breaks, and lunch periods to maintain efficient workflow and staffing coverage.
• Perform hands-on warehouse functions as needed, including order selection, stocking, stacking, replenishment and quality control.
• Safely operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by ensuring work areas meet company standards and safety requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Serve as a hands-on leader and role model by maintaining high standards for culture, attendance, teamwork, productivity, and workplace safety.

Warehouse Lead Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of warehouse leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and technical skills.
• Experience with PickRight, WMS, ERP, or other warehouse management systems.
• Computer proficient with the ability to learn and utilize warehouse technology and software.
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed, typically 5-10 additional hours per week.
• Ability to frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and reach trucks.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, positive work environment, teamwork, productivity, and optimal service levels.
