Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator
Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum, depending on experience

Our client is looking for an organised Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator to support a busy technical equipment operation in the Uxbridge area.

This is a varied role combining logistics administration, transport coordination, order processing and day-to-day communication. It would suit someone who enjoys keeping a fast-moving operation organised and making sure deliveries, collections and paperwork all come together at the right time.

The environment involves professional audio visual and technical equipment, so previous exposure to AV, live events, equipment hire or production would be useful. However, strong logistics or warehouse administration experience is more important for this particular role.

The role

You will help coordinate the movement of equipment in and out of the operation, supporting deliveries, collections and transport arrangements.

Day to day, you will maintain accurate order information, prepare shipping and delivery paperwork, update internal systems and respond to operational queries.

You will also liaise with transport providers, suppliers and colleagues to make sure collections and deliveries are scheduled effectively and any problems are dealt with quickly.

The role includes general warehouse and logistics administration, including order processing, transport documentation, invoicing support and maintaining accurate records.

You will be working in a busy environment where priorities can change, so good organisation and attention to detail will be important.

What we are looking for

You should have at least two years' previous experience within a warehouse, logistics, distribution, transport administration or similar operational environment.

You will need:

• Strong administration and organisational skills
• Experience coordinating deliveries, collections or transport activity
• Confidence processing orders and maintaining accurate records
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication
• The ability to manage several priorities in a busy environment

Experience using a warehouse management, logistics or order-processing system would be useful, although knowledge of a particular platform is not required.

Previous experience working within audio visual, live events, production, equipment hire or another technical equipment environment would be a strong advantage, but it is not essential for this vacancy.
