WHAT YOU’LL DO

The fast-paced position of Warehouse Customer Service Associate is simple – you must be self-motivated, dependable, and willing to create an overall great experience for our customers by going the extra mile. You have the opportunity of working with our amazing employees and customers throughout the business day; therefore, exceptional customer service skills are non-negotiable. This role will keep you on your feet (literally), this is a labor-intensive position, and you will be on your feet for most of the business day lifting, loading and unloading material consistently. The responsibilities of this role are diverse but will focus on receiving and restocking various building materials such as windows, doors, cabinets, interior molding, and stair parts, helping customers with pickup, picking orders for deliveries, and cleaning the warehouse.

THE NITTY GRITTY

  • Being friendly and professional, responding quickly to customer and team member needs.
  • Communicate with peers, customers, and vendors respectfully, honestly, and openly.
• The Warehouse Customer Service things:
  • Follow processes to confirm all product is being delivered and proactively responds when an item is missing, damaged, or refused.
  • Remain willing to have an open mind to change and improvements, in addition to providing ideas to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure merchandise is in great condition, accurately accounted for, and delivered to customers on time.
  • Pulling merchandise safely and accurately for loading onto trucks and helping customers and staff move merchandise safely.
  • Receive job specific training to improve your skill set to advance your job.
  • Utilize basic functions of WMS system on a scanner gun; (including but not limited to receive, put away, move, cycle inventory, select, and customer ship).
  • Maintain a clean, efficient work environment.
  • Safely operate a forklift to move around material.
  • Receive inbound material and store appropriately.

WHAT YOU NEED

Qualifications:

• 2 years of warehouse/material handling experience, preferred
• 1 year of warehouse operations, preferred

Interpersonal Skills:

• A strong steward of Mans culture and core values
• Ability to quickly learn, use and adapt to software such as WMS system
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record; reliable transportation is required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a warehouse and lumber yard environment with regular exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and outdoor weather conditions. This role requires the safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment while working in a fast-paced setting.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This role requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials weighing up to 50-100 pounds. This role requires regular standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching for extended periods of time.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

The standard schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 9:30am until 7:00pm with alternating Saturday shifts. Due to the nature of the role, occasional overtime may be required, making schedule flexibility important.
