Harrison County Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Ward Clerk/Tech for a full-time, evenings shift from 12p to 12a, with every other weekend. The role combines receptionist, ward clerk, and ED technician duties to maintain smooth ED operations.

The candidate will interact with patients, visitors, RNs, physicians, and other departments, performing clerical tasks and assisting with patient care as assigned. Indiana community hospital setting with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA program, EMT training, or ASN/BSN coursework completion expected; 1 year nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Experience as ward clerk or on-the-job training with ~3 months proficiency.
• Attend dysrhythmia class with 85%+ within 3 months.

Harrison County Hospital is currently hiring for an Emergency Department Ward Clerk/Tech to join our team!

This position is full-time, evenings, 12p-12a plus every other weekend.

The Emergency Department Ward Clerk/Tech performs as a receptionist, ward clerk, and an Emergency Department Technician. This position is accountable as the focal communication source in the Emergency Department unit through interaction with patients, visitors, registered nurses, physicians, and other departments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; clerical duties and the delivery of patient care, as assigned.

Education Required

• High School diploma or GED Certificate
• CNA program, minimum one year experience as a nursing assistant, EMT training, or completion of first year of ASN or second year of BSN.
• Experience as ward clerk or on the job training with proficiency expected in 3 months.
• Attend dysrhythmia class with a score of 85% or greater within 3 months
