Harrison County Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Ward Clerk/Tech for a full-time, evenings shift from 12p to 12a, with every other weekend. The role combines receptionist, ward clerk, and ED technician duties to maintain smooth ED operations.

The candidate will interact with patients, visitors, RNs, physicians, and other departments, performing clerical tasks and assisting with patient care as assigned. Indiana community hospital setting with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA program, EMT training, or ASN/BSN coursework completion expected; 1 year nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Experience as ward clerk or on-the-job training with ~3 months proficiency.
• Attend dysrhythmia class with 85%+ within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Serve as receptionist, ward clerk, and ED Technician.
• Act as the central communication point between patients, visitors, nurses, physicians, and other departments.
• Perform clerical duties and assist with patient care as assigned.
