Job summary

Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, IN is seeking a PRN RN for our Med/Surg/TCU/ICU department. The staff nurse provides direct patient care across the life span, under nursing standards and Indiana Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Required: Indiana RN license, high school diploma, BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred. On-the-job training for arrhythmia interpretation and Cerner EMR use; opportunities for on-site certification.

Qualifications

• RN license in Indiana is required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• ACLS, PALS, or BLS preferred with on-the-job certification available.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from infancy to geriatric in Med/Surg/TCU/ICU.
• Administer medications, monitor patient status and respond to changes.
• Document care and outcomes in Cerner EMR; collaborate with the care team.

Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire an RN for our Med/Surg/TCU/ICU Department.

Position available: PRN, 12 hr shifts.

Under the direction of the department of nursing service, the staff nurse, as an RN, bears primary responsibility and accountability for the nursing care patients receive and possesses characteristics identified in the nursing profession's standards of practice, nurse's code of ethics, and the Indiana nurse practice act. Inherent in this practice is the nursing process; the assessment of the patient status, the plan of nursing actions, the implementation of that plan and the evaluation of the plan. The staff nurse's patient population will include patients from infancy to geriatric who present with either medical or post-surgical problems.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent


• Valid RN License in the state of Indiana and graduation from an accredited nursing school


• BLS, ACLS, PALS, preferred. On the job certification available
