NHS Tayside is seeking a Ward Clerk for the Young People’s Unit (YPU), an in-patient service for 12-18 year olds with acute mental illness. You will support administrative tasks, maintain records and coordinate with the care team.

We provide induction standards and training, with a flexible part-time schedule of 28.8 hours per week. This post is pro rata and sponsorship is not available.

We are looking for a WARD CLERK to join our team. The Young People’s Unit (YPU) provides in-patient care and treatment to young people aged 12-18 experiencing acute mental illness. The YPU is a regional service providing 12 beds for young people from across the North of Scotland. We offer a broad range of therapeutic interventions, including individual, group and family work.

We recognise that some people interested in the opportunities provided by working in this exciting and challenging environment may have little experience in child and adolescent mental health services, therefore the unit will provide training as required.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
