Job summary

Grower Direct Nut Company, Inc. is seeking an Incoming Grading QC Technician in Hughson, CA to accurately grade incoming walnut samples and log data.

You will collect samples, weigh in-shell walnuts, separate by size, photograph samples, and record grading results. The role requires English and Spanish, teamwork, and compliance with GMP, HACCP, and safety standards.

Shifts are 1st and 2nd, from 4:30am–1:00pm and 1:30pm–10:00pm, August through December, with payrate $17.00–$17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Teamwork ability and collaboration.
• Basic math skills for grading and data entry.
• GMPs, Food Safety and HACCP knowledge.
• Overtime and weekend availability.
• English and Spanish language skills.
• Accurate documentation and record-keeping.
• Punctuality and good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Collect product samples for grading.
• Log samples into Grower Direct Nut logs.
• Weigh walnuts in-shell and weigh graded products.
• Separate walnuts by size and photograph samples.
• Record grading data and verify accuracy.
• Log and file retention samples per procedures.
• Keep samples organized and prevent double grading.
• Use color charts for all color determinations.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and assist with cleanup.
• Comply with safety, GMP, and audit requirements.
