Job summary

KLOVER is seeking a Carpenter Wall Panel Installer to join our team. The role involves installing light gauge metal wall panels, curtainwall panels, and related products, reading blueprints and work orders, and adhering to building codes and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of panel or structural steel installation experience, carpentry knowledge, and a basic understanding of welding (optional).

Qualifications

• Participation in a secondary or post-secondary trade curriculum.
• 1+ year experience with panel or structural steel installation.
• 1+ year experience with stick welding (optional).
• Knowledge and understanding of construction safety devices and PPE.
• Rigging and Signaling experience is a plus.
• Carpentry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure and read height, width, length, and other proportions with a tape measure.
• Assist foreman with proper layout for work to be put in place.
• Fabricate or alter parts using grinders, sawzalls, shears, hammers, punches, or drills.
• Join materials with fasteners and adhesives.
• Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and lasers to ensure everything is level and secure.
• Check work along the way to ensure it meets specification and quality standards.
• Install wall panel products according to specifications and building codes.
• Maneuver units into position for installation, and anchor the units.
