Job summary

Watco is seeking a Walking Foreman to oversee port and labor operations across vessels, yards, and terminals in Houston, TX. You will coordinate with the Superintendent and Gang Foreman, inspect work areas, assist with cargo handling, and step into various operational roles as needed.

Strong communication, safety adherence, and reliable gear use are essential. This role requires hazmat and PIT certifications, TWIC, and supervisory training, with high school or GED.

Qualifications

• Be able to perform all essential duties and obtain required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Reports to operations management and supervises all vessel/yard labor.
• Wears mandatory safety gear and ensures safe operation of vehicles and equipment.
• Assists in coordinating labor and safety issues with Gang Foreman and Superintendent.
• May fill in for various positions to assist in operations.
• Coordinate out-of-gauge and heavy-lift cargo discharge and loading.
• Inspect dockside area and gangway; monitor safety and traffic flow.
