Role Description

The General Manager position at Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux is a full-time, on-site role based in Prairieville, LA. The General Manager oversees daily restaurant operations, including managing staff schedules, monitoring service quality, and ensuring adherence to brand standards. This role is responsible for supervising front-of-house and back-of-house teams, driving sales and profitability, managing inventory and food costs, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. The General Manager also handles hiring, training, and performance coaching, supports guest relations by resolving issues promptly and professionally, and collaborates with ownership on local marketing initiatives and operational improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or hospitality management, with proven ability to oversee daily operations and lead diverse teams.
• Strong skills in scheduling, inventory management, and cost control to support efficient and profitable restaurant performance.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent guest service, handle escalated concerns, and maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment.
• Solid communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make sound decisions in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of basic financial reporting, including sales analysis, labor management, and budgeting.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and food handling regulations and commitment to maintaining compliance at all times.
• Previous experience training, coaching, and developing team members, supporting retention and positive workplace culture.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, hospitality, or a related field is beneficial.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support restaurant operations.
