The Country Club of Birmingham is seeking a part-time Food Runners/Waiter Assistant to support the service team during the evening shift.

You will deliver food, maintain dining room cleanliness, uphold service standards, and provide courteous, discreet guest experiences for members and guests.

Formación

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver food from kitchen to dining areas promptly and accurately.
• Verify plate presentation, order accuracy, and temperature before delivery.
• Communicate with servers and kitchen staff about orders and special requests.
• Assist with clearing plates, resetting tables, and maintaining service flow.

Job Details

Job Location: 3325 COUNTRY CLUB RD 500 - BIRMINGHAM, AL 35213, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $15.00 - $15.00 Hourly, Job Shift: Evening Shift

Food Runners/Waiter Assistants play a vital role in delivering exceptional service for our members and their guests. This position supports the service team by ensuring timely, accurate delivery of food, maintaining dining room cleanliness and organization, and upholding the high standards of service expected at CCB.

Schedule

• Tuesday-Saturday; 5:00pm-9:00PM
• Flexibility to work weekends & holidays as needed

Duties and Responsibilities

Food Service Support

• Promptly and accurately deliver food from kitchen to dining areas
• Verify plate presentation, order accuracy, and temperature before delivery
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding orders and special requests
• Assist with clearing plates, resetting tables, and maintaining smooth service flow.

Dining Room & Service Standards

• Help maintain cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, service stations, and back of house areas
• Refill water, bread, butter, and other table items as needed
• Assist servers with guests needs to ensure seamless and attentive dining experience
• Follow all club service standards, etiquette, and procedures

Member & Guest Experience

• Interact with members and guests in a courteous, professional, and discreet manner,
• Respond promptly to member requests
• Uphold CCB’s culture of hospitality, confidentiality, and personalized service.

Operational & Safety Responsibilities

• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation and health regulations
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
• Support special events, banquets, and private functions as needed

Reports to

Food & Beverage Manager and Supervisor

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, and able to lift up to 50lbs
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
