Job Summary

The server takes food and beverage orders and delivers items efficiently to dining guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Promptly and warmly greet guests; take food and beverage orders following established service steps.
2. Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain food safety and sanitation standards. Follow up to assist with guest needs.
3. Understand menu items and ingredients; advise guests on food and drink pairings; accommodate dietary needs and allergies.
4. Communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests.
5. Maintain excellent communication, flexibility, and patience with guests and staff.
6. Handle tickets and cash transactions properly.
7. Keep the dining environment clean, safe, and organized.
8. Respect confidentiality of personal and medical information.
9. Address guest concerns promptly and report issues to supervisors.
10. Prepare the dining area before and after service, ensuring sanitation standards.
11. Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee makers.
12. Collaborate with other departments during events and functions.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned.
