The purpose of this position is to perform beverage service function in a bar or lounge. Ask patrons what beverage are desired, and describes or suggest cocktails, highballs, wines, or other beverages on request. Gives orders to bartender. Adds fruit or decorations as required. Receives and places beverages on a small tray and serves patrons. Observed when patrons leave and clean table. Return used glassware to bar. Maintain clean work area. Collects payment form patrons when drinks are served. May dispense bottled beverages, confections, and tobacco, or serve any item on request of the patron. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Assigned to workstation by the supervisor and given specific and detailed instructions. Responsible for complying with standard methods and procedures such as conduct, etiquette, dress code, and table setting techniques.
Work is normally performed inside with adequate lighting and heat. Exposed to the possibility of minor cuts, bruises, and slippery floors.
