Job summary

Spanish Cove Retirement Village is seeking a Wait Staff member to provide dining services to residents and staff. This role requires weekend availability and holiday coverage, with a pay rate of $13.00 per hour and weekend hours from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

The position is within the Dietary department and involves lifting up to 50 lbs, assisting residents, and maintaining a clean dining area.

Responsibilities

• Provide dining services to residents and employees.
• Must be able to work weekends & holidays.
• Lift, move, push, pull & transfer 50 lbs with physical capability.
• Carry food and beverages to tables.
• Carry soiled dishware to dish room.
• Keep dining area clean, tables reset, and stocked.
• Operate coffee urns.
• Operate a vacuum cleaner.
• Maintain clean dining area floors.
• Follow infection control/OSHA policies and procedures.
• Stay overtime in case of emergency.
• Complete tasks per Row Sheets.

Pay Rate: $13.00 hourly

Hours: 10:00am- 3:00pm (Saturday & Sunday only)

Summary:

Responsible for providing dining services to residents and employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Must be able to work weekends & holidays.
• Frequent lifting & moving. Must have the ability to lift, move,push, pull & transfer 50lbs with the physical capability to perform all job-related duties.
• Must be courteous and patient with all residents, guests, and employees eating in the dining room.
• Able to carry food and beverages to tables.
• Able to carry soiled dishware to dish room.
• Keep tables reset, clean, and stocked.
• Able to operate coffee urns.
• Able to operate a vacuum cleaner.
• Keep dining area floors clean.
• Check Cleaning Schedule as posted.
• Interact with residents and offer assistance as needed.
• Comply with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations, and Risk Management.
• Follow all retirement center and departmental policies and procedures.
• Stay overtime in case of emergency.
• Complete all tasks according to assignments on Row Sheets.
