Job summary

Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center seeks a Wait Staff member to assist with meal services for residents. The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults and can perform duties independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities include serving meals, dishwashing and maintaining dining areas. Work hours are 4:30pm–8:00pm on weekdays and weekends, with a flexible schedule and 15–20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Understands therapeutic diets and applies when serving.
• Serves meals according to residents' diets and preferences.
• Maintains dining areas and supports tray setup and cleanup.

• Serve food to residents and guests in dining areas.
• Wash dishes and clean equipment after meals.
• Set up, deliver and pick up resident room trays.
• Clear and clean tables and chairs after meals.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and follow infection control procedures.

Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center is seeking Wait Staff to assist with our meal services. The ideal candidate loves working with older people and works well independently and as a team player.

Schedule And Pay Information

• Starting Pay: $15.00 per hour
• Status: Part time (15 - 20 hours per week)
• Hours: 4:30pm-8:00pm weekdays/weekends

Note: Schedule must be flexible and open for weekend shifts.

Primary Function:

Responsible for serving food to residents and guests, dishwashing and cleaning in dining areas.

Essential Functions

• Understands the various therapeutic diets and applies this knowledge when serving.
• Serves food to residents following their diets, food preferences and dislikes.
• Sets up employee trays.
• Sets up, delivers and picks up residents’ room trays.
• Sets dining room tables for meals
• Vacuums dining room floor after each meal.
• Washes dishes and cleans equipment and areas after each use.
• Clears tables, cleans tables, and chairs after each use.
• Interacts positively with all residents at all times creating an atmosphere which promotes a homelike environment
• Maintains, cares for and safely uses supplies and equipment effectively and efficiently per Fairhaven policies and procedures
• Maintains sanitary conditions; follows infection control and waste management procedures as they relate to this position
• Reports incidents of abuse, neglect or a violation of the resident’s rights immediately
