Job summary

San Diego, California-based opportunity for an Associate Attorney focusing on wage and hour litigation within a national defense firm. You will own matters and work closely with experienced practitioners on complex state and federal wage-hour disputes, including class, collective, and PAGA actions.

Ideal candidates will have at least three years of litigation experience, be admitted to the California Bar, and possess strong knowledge of the California Labor Code and FLSA.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership.
• JD from ABA‑accredited law school.
• 3+ years of litigation experience; wage & hour defense preferred.
• Strong knowledge of California Labor Code, PAGA, and FLSA.
• Experience with discovery, depositions, motions, and legal writing.

Responsibilities

• Develop litigation strategy from early assessment through resolution.
• Take and defend depositions; manage written discovery.
• Research, draft, and argue motions, including dispositive and class actions.
• Prepare pleadings, briefs, and other key litigation documents.
• Evaluate strategy for representative actions under PAGA.
• Analyze wage and hour issues (classification, regular-rate, meal/rest, waiting-time).
