The San Diego office of a national AM 100 firm seeks an Associate Attorney with wage and hour litigation experience. The role focuses on complex CA wage-and-hour disputes, including class and collective actions in state and federal court.

Ideal candidates will have substantial responsibility, strong advocacy skills, and the ability to manage opposing counsel while delivering practical litigation strategies in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership required.
• JD from ABA-accredited law school required.
• 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in wage and hour defense.
• Knowledge of California Labor Code, PAGA, and FLSA.
• Experience with discovery, depositions, motions, and writing.
• Strong analytical judgment and practical litigation strategy.
• Ability to manage multiple matters collaboratively.
• Strong academic background with excellent written and oral advocacy.

Responsabilités

• Develop litigation strategy and drive matters from early assessment to resolution.
• Take and defend depositions and manage significant written discovery.
• Research, draft, and argue substantive motions, including dispositive and class-related motions.
• Prepare pleadings, briefs, and other key litigation documents.
• Evaluate and develop strategy for representative actions under PAGA.
• Analyze wage and hour issues including employee classification and rest periods.
• Work directly with clients and collaborate with attorneys across the practice.
