Texas Workforce Commission is seeking an Accounts Examiner for the Austin office to review wage and hour records, issue notices, and enforce the Texas Payday Law. You will interact with employers, claimants, and attorneys, ensuring compliance while managing a high workload.

Responsibilities include examining records, issuing collections actions, and maintaining accurate data input. A background check and a standard Monday–Friday schedule apply; bilingual helpful.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented accounting/collections experience preferred.
• Experience interpreting and composing basic business and legal documents preferred.
• Ability to problem solve, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Examine Wage and Hour records to secure collection of past‑due wages.
• Review Payday and databases to verify delinquency and employer identity before actions.
• Respond to heavy workload of calls, emails, and letters; document interactions in systems.
