Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS is seeking a Wafer Process Engineer in Cartersville, GA to optimize wafer manufacturing processes for stability, reliability, and capacity while managing day-to-day production.

The role collaborates with cross-functional teams, drives continuous improvement, develops SOPs, and supports mass production readiness, vendor coordination, and training. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in engineering and 3–5 years in process/manufacturing, with semiconductor or related experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in process/manufacturing environment.
  • Semiconductor or related industry experience preferred.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive stable mass production ramp-up by managing on-site operations.
  • Lead hands-on follow-up to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Strengthen process monitoring to detect and prevent defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure stable production.
  • Work with equipment vendors and internal teams to address issues and implement countermeasures.
  • Develop, revise, and standardize SOPs for wafer processes and deploy them effectively.
  • Support process development, validation, and mass production readiness activities.
  • Plan and execute small- and large-scale tests, supporting smooth transition to mass production.
