Job summary

COHERENT is seeking a wafer equipment maintenance technician for the B shift (Sun–Tue, alt Sat), 7PM–7AM, in Sherman, TX. You will service and repair complex processing tools, validate fixes, and work with engineers to improve uptime.

The role requires 2+ years with wafer tools, electronics background, and the ability to travel as needed. Join a collaborative team and contribute to process improvements in a clean room environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience maintaining wafer processing equipment.
• Military Electronics certification or AS technical degree in electronics preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wafer processing tools as directed by management and engineers.
• Run equipment to validate corrective actions.
• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance to maximize uptime on wafer and assembly tools.
• Track maintenance progress and communicate status to management and Camstar system.
• Train and mentor new team members and collaborate with other departments.
• Be a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and attend vendor training as needed.
