Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a maintenance technician to support wafer processing tools and associated equipment.

The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, tool validation, and collaboration with process and facilities teams to keep fab operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate will have electronics, mechanical, and vacuum expertise, with experience reading schematics and diagnosing tool issues.

Qualifications

Military Electronics certification or AS technical degree in electronics required
2+ years experience maintaining wafer processing equipment
Experience with multiple wafer processing tools and systems
Strong electronics, mechanical and vacuum knowledge
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Experience performing preventive maintenance and chamber clean activities

Responsibilities

Maintain wafer processing tools as directed by management and engineers
Run equipment to validate corrective actions
Perform reactive and preventive maintenance on wafer and assembly tools
Track progress of maintenance in Fab, Back End, and Assembly equipment
Train and mentor new team members
Collaborate with Process Engineering, Facilities, Test Engineering and other departments
Provide updates on equipment status to management and Camstar system
Travel domestically and internationally as needed
