Job summary

Diodes Incorporated is seeking a Manufacturing Device / Wafer Acceptance Test (WAT) Engineer in South Portland, ME. You will develop and optimize WAT programs, analyze wafer data, and drive improvements in yield and device reliability.

The role involves collaborating with Technology Development, Process, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to implement automated test solutions and support new technologies. A strong background in semiconductor testing and data analytics is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Microelectronics Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, device engineering, wafer acceptance testing (WAT) or process engineering is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with ability to interpret semiconductor data.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, qualify, maintain, and optimize Wafer Acceptance Test (WAT) and device characterization programs using HP4062 and related test platforms.
  • Analyze wafer-level parametric data and device electrical characteristics to identify process excursions and yield issues.
  • Troubleshoot device, process, and test-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Apply SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, 8D, and Root Cause Analysis to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Monitor and improve yield and process capability (CPK) as well as electrical performance.
  • Support technology development, process evaluations, product characterization, and NPI activities.
  • Develop automation, data analysis methods, and software tools to boost productivity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive quality, cost reduction, and operational excellence.
  • Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders and management.
