Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to implement and manage Web Application Firewall solutions, protecting client applications from cyber threats and ensuring continuous operational coverage.

You will monitor traffic, respond to incidents, develop WAF policies, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams using Cloudflare, Imperva, and Terraform to automate security measures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of web application security operations experience focusing on WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with Cloudflare and Imperva WAF solutions required.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of web application protocols, security principles, and ITIL concepts.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize WAF solutions to protect web applications.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls and monitor for threats.
• Analyze security events, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to security incidents.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
• Support security audits and maintain up-to-date security controls.
• Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies.
• Utilize Cloudflare and Imperva WAFs and Terraform IaC for deployments.
• Mentor junior engineers on WAF management and incident response.
