Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to configure and manage web application firewalls across client environments. You will monitor traffic, respond to incidents, and collaborate with security teams to uphold application security and compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with Cloudflare and Imperva, IaC with Terraform, and mentoring junior engineers. A 3–5 year track record in web app security operations and ITIL-aligned incident management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in web application security operations, focusing on WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with WAF solutions such as Cloudflare and Imperva is required.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation is preferred.
• Certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize WAF solutions to secure web applications.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls and ensure performance.
• Monitor application traffic and security events to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Analyze security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to incidents.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and related documentation.
• Support security audits and assessments in line with security standards.
