Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to configure and maintain web application firewalls, protecting client applications from cyber threats. You will monitor traffic, analyze security events, and respond to incidents while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture.

You will work with Cloudflare and Imperva, utilize Terraform for automation, and support security audits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
3–5 years of web application security operations, with a focus on WAF management.
Hands-on experience with WAF solutions such as Cloudflare and Imperva is required.
Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation is preferred.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

Configure, manage, and optimize WAF solutions to secure web applications.
Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls and monitor performance.
Analyze security events, investigate incidents, and perform root-cause analysis.
Collaborate with incident response teams to mitigate security incidents.
Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
Support security audits and assessments, ensuring policy compliance.
Stay current with threats and new security technologies to improve posture.
Utilize WAF tools including Cloudflare and Imperva; leverage Terraform for IaC automation.
Mentor junior engineers on WAF management and incident response.
