AppFolio is seeking a Vulnerability Management Specialist to join the security engineering team. You will contribute to security initiatives and work on high-impact projects, staying abreast of industry trends.

Success in this role requires 2–5 years in a related cybersecurity field, scripting skills in Ruby or Python, and hands-on experience with vulnerability tools. This is a hybrid, full-time role in a fast-growing SaaS company committed to secure products and trusted customer partnerships.

Qualifications

2–5 years in a cybersecurity role focused on vulnerability management, pen tests, or incident response.
Proficient in Ruby, Python, or other scripting languages.
Experience with DefectDojo, Invicti, Wiz, or Cycode.
Hands-on testing with vulnerability validation tools.
Knowledge of SAST/DAST/SCA and pen test tools.
Proficient in Linux, macOS, and Windows; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Validate, prioritize, communicate, and track vulnerabilities to improve security posture.
Respond to emerging threats and 0-day vulnerabilities.
Ensure compliance with vulnerability management policies and adopt industry best practices.
Streamline processes with AI, ML, and automation to reduce time-to-action.
Build trust with customers and partners through a strong vulnerability program.
