statutory and GAAP reporting for Separate Accounts, manage staff, and drive process improvements across accounting and reporting functions. The role requires deep knowledge of NAIC/GAAP, investments reporting, and ability to implement controls while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of financial reporting experience required.
• Advanced MS Office Skills (Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Public accounting or investment related financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Statutory (NAIC) and/or GAAP accounting principles.
• Previous experience in investments strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff responsible for the quarterly/annual statutory NAIC reporting and VSA accounting.
• Oversee investment presentation in the financial statements quarterly.
• Research and propose disclosures in response to new pronouncements and investment types.
• Interpret new pronouncements related to U.S. Statutory/GAAP and regulations.
• Recommend changes to accounting systems and presentation of information.
• Oversee process improvements and system enhancements for accounting reporting.
• Oversee new processes and project implementation.
• Oversee audits for Investments and explain Company’s position.
• Manage design and implementation of controls for accounting and reporting.
