Job summary

La Petite Academy in Kissimmee, FL seeks a Lead VPK Teacher to plan, assess, and instruct 4-year-olds according to program requirements.

You will create engaging learning experiences, mentor fellow teachers, and lead classroom management while ensuring compliance with licensing guidelines and center standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and meet state requirements for education.
• CDA, Associates degree or higher in education or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state and center requirements for childcare.

The VPK Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.
As a Lead VPK Teacher, you’ll:

• Create! Develop fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
• Care! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool children in your class.
• Call the shots! Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus be an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and VPK program requirements.
• Communicate! Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.

We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have:

• CDA, Associates degree or higher in education or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
