Job summary

The Children’s Courtyard in Jacksonville, FL seeks a VPK Lead Teacher to plan, assess, and instruct 4-year-olds in a supportive preschool setting. You will create engaging lessons, lead classroom management, mentor other teachers, and ensure licensing and program standards are met, while communicating with families.

Qualifications

• Must have CDA or higher in education or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.

• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

The VPK Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.
As a Lead VPK Teacher, you’ll:

• Create! Develop fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
• Care! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool children in your class.
• Call the shots! Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus be an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and VPK program requirements.
• Communicate! Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
