Job summary

Learning Care Group in Florida is seeking a Lead VPK Teacher to plan, assess, and instruct 4-year-olds, aligned with VPK requirements and licensing guidelines. You will create engaging lessons, mentor fellow teachers, and ensure a nurturing classroom environment.

This role emphasizes strong family communication, classroom management, and adherence to program standards, while promoting children's social, physical, and cognitive development in a supportive center setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a CDA, an associate degree or higher in education, or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state education requirements for the program and center.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

The VPK, Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program, prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's development. The VPK Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.

As a Lead VPK Teacher, you’ll:

• Call the shots! Take the lead onclassroom managementand curriculum implementation,plusbe an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and VPK program requirements.
