Job summary

Summit Public Schools is seeking an Visual or Performing Art Teacher for the 2026-27 school year in Daly City, CA. Join a mission-driven network committed to preparing students for meaningful futures through project-based learning and a consistent mentor-mentee model.

You’ll mentor a fixed group of students, deliver 90-minute project blocks or equivalent, and participate in twice-weekly all-faculty meetings to support school culture and student growth.

Qualifications

• Teaching Credential in California or another US state.
• Bachelor’s Degree (a Master’s Degree in Education is preferred, but not required).
• Clear health and background check.
• Teaching experience in your subject is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement Summit’s advisory model by mentoring a consistent group of students and building strong relationships.
• Deliver project-based, real-world learning through Summit’s universal curriculum.
• Use student progress data to tailor lesson plans and provide individual support.
• Collaborate with grade-level and subject-level teams during regular after-school meetings for professional development.
