Job summary

YMCA of Greater Springfield seeks a Vice President of Youth Development to lead educational programming across Early Childhood Education, School Age Child Care, and Summer Camp operations. You will set strategic direction, ensure program quality, and drive financial sustainability while aligning with the YMCA mission.

You will build partnerships, manage multi-area budgets, and supervise department leaders, ensuring exceptional member experiences and compliance with licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, budget management, and staff supervision.
• Strong understanding of youth development, early education, and program delivery.
• Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for all youth development programs.
• Develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives for oversight areas.
• Oversee program design, quality, access, and age-appropriate progression across departments.
• Manage budgets, pursue grants, and ensure financial sustainability of education programming.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate department directors and staff.
• Establish performance indicators to measure impact, growth, and outcomes.
• Represent the YMCA in community forums and build partnerships with schools and agencies.
