Job summary

State Street is expanding its HR Technology Solutions team and seeks a VP, Workday HCM Senior Solution Consultant who thrives on turning complex business problems into practical Workday designs. You will build configurations, own process design, and partner with COE leaders to deliver scalable solutions across the organization.

In this build role, you’ll collaborate with Security and Data Management teams on data loads and access controls, evaluate trade-offs between standard Workday features

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience.
• Deep expertise in Core HCM, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Performance, Talent, Prism Analytics, or Severance.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business asks into Workday design.
• Experience owning configuration in a live production tenant and working with security/EIB concepts.
• Strong consulting instincts and ability to explain designs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with COE stakeholders to understand the underlying business problem before designing a solution.
• Own solution design including business processes, calculated fields, rules, reports, and relevant integrations.
• Configure Workday as a build role, not a hand-off.
• Collaborate with Security and Data Management teams on data loads and security changes.
• Assess trade-offs between out-of-the-box Workday features and workarounds, recommending the best path.
• Support release management and evaluate biannual Workday releases for impact.
• Mentor less-experienced team members on configuration best practices.
