Job summary

Western Veterinary Partners seeks a Vice President of Veterinary Leadership to guide the vision and execution of veterinary medical initiatives across the organization. The role partners with the Executive, Operations, Recruiting, Marketing, Business Development, Procurement, and People teams to align on priorities and drive growth.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active veterinary license in at least one U.S. state.
• Minimum of five years of clinical veterinary practice experience.
• Minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience within the veterinary profession.
• Minimum of three years of experience advising on veterinary medical standards, policies, or clinical programs.

Responsibilities

• Support Veterinarian Recruitment, Engagement, Development, and Retention across the organization.
• Lead or support development of programs and events for clinician engagement and professional growth.
• Provide consultation on clinical performance, risk management, and professional support needs.
• Champion veterinarian well-being and resilience, and oversee leadership development initiatives.
• Oversee Medical Director development and succession planning across practices.
• Partner with Operations and Business Development to support onboarding, integration, and long-term partnerships.
