Job summary

Western Veterinary Partners seeks a Vice President of Veterinary Leadership to align clinical excellence with organizational growth across the United States. This senior leader partners with Executive, Operations, Recruiting, Marketing, Business Development, Procurement, and People teams to drive vision, programs, and strategic initiatives for veterinarians.

The role emphasizes professional development, well-being, and retention, reporting to the CEO and partnering with the COO to set priorities

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active veterinary license in at least one U.S. state.
• Minimum of five years of clinical veterinary practice experience.
• Minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience within the veterinary profession.
• Minimum of three years of experience advising on veterinary medical standards, policies, or clinical programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead veterinarian recruitment, engagement, development, and retention strategies.
• Oversee professional development programs including Medical Directors and staff training.
• Advise on clinical programs, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Business Development, and People teams on onboarding and partnerships.
• Drive leadership development and mentorship across multi-site practices.
