AECOM is seeking a Vice President, Transportation Business Development Lead to drive statewide growth with TxDOT. Based in Texas, this hybrid role collaborates with TxDOT leadership to expand AECOM’s transportation services across the department’s central office and districts.

You will lead business development, capture strategies, and client relationships, oversee project delivery alignment with regulations, recruit and mentor teams, and represent AECOM at industry events to strengthen Texas

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 12 years of relevant experience, including 4 years of leadership.

Responsibilities

• Fully accountable for business development activities with TxDOT in collaboration with leaders across the AECOM Texas business.
• Represent AECOM and serve as a point of contact with TxDOT Leadership.
• Manage the successful delivery of projects by aligning AECOM’s local and global resources and ensuring resources adhere to local transportation regulations, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
• Serve as a Principal-in-Charge on larger projects to provide executive oversight on the project's overall success, client relationship, financial performance and high-level risk management.
• Monitor the Department's needs and trends within the transportation industry, providing insights and recommendations for strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for expanding the scope of services offered to the Department and collaborate with pursuit teams to develop proposals.
• Coordinate with technical teams to ensure that solutions align with the Department's goals and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for AECOM leadership highlighting project status, key account performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
• Maintain a high profile with TxDOT and transportation industry. Attend conferences and workshops to strengthen existing TxDOT relationships and establish new TxDOT relationships.
• Has a keen understanding of industry trends and market drivers.
• Provides leadership in recruiting, training, and retaining top talent for TxDOT opportunities and projects.
