Job summary

The Bancorp Bank in Wilmington, DE is seeking a VP Technology Strategy & Operations to align CTO vision with actionable priorities across platforms, infrastructure, cybersecurity, engineering, data and operations. You will partner with technology leadership to drive governance and execution.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, vendor relationships, and risk controls while delivering measurable outcomes and a disciplined operating rhythm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, CS, business, finance, or related field.
• 10+ years in technology, financial services, or related leadership roles.
• Experience supporting senior executives and leading enterprise initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of portfolio management, governance, risk, and financial management.
• Excellent communication for executive and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to handle confidential information in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in regulated financial institutions or modernization initiatives (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Drives strategic planning and execution with Technology leadership to define priorities and milestones.
• Organizes leadership meetings, reviews, governance forums, and decision logs.
• Prepares executive communications for board updates and risk forums.
• Coordinates cross-functional execution across Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Legal, Product, Data, Cybersecurity.
• Oversees technology priority portfolio, programs, budgets, risks, and outcomes.
• Supports budget planning, forecasting, and vendor cost optimization.
• Strengthens governance visibility by tracking audit findings and regulatory commitments.
• Provides leadership support to teams and resources without direct reporting authority.
• Influences leaders to align resources and maintain execution discipline across initiatives.
• Sets expectations and accountability for technology workstreams with HR policies.
