Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks an experienced Vice President to join our Technology M&A team in San Francisco. You will develop and maintain strong client relationships with corporates and financial institutions, executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs and LBOs.

You will lead deal execution, supervise junior bankers, refine marketing materials, and manage risks across transactions while collaborating with internal and external parties to deliver superior client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
• Experience in an investment banking front office role.
• Experience with technology clients (IT services, software, FinTech).
• Experience training junior bankers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills including Excel modelling.
• Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Adaptable and capable of independent project management.
• Ability to interact with clients professionally.
• Understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks for large banks.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the primary day-to-day client point of contact and lead banker on deals.
• Reviewing and coordinating the analytic work of junior bankers to move marketing/execution process forward.
• Refining marketing/execution materials for maximum client impact.
• Overseeing the creation of financial projection models and customer cubes.
• Identifying and managing all risks in a given deal.
• Liaising with lawyers, accountants, counterparties and other parties.
• Leading client negotiations, Q&A process and management interviews.
