J.P. Morgan is seeking a Vice President in Mid-Cap M&A to develop strong relationships with corporates and financial institution clients and work on deals across mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, loans, and capital raises.

You will act as the primary day-to-day client contact and lead banker on deals. You’ll coordinate junior bankers, refine marketing materials, oversee financial projection models, and identify and manage deal risks, while liaising with lawyers and other

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Prior work experience in an investment banking front office role.
  • Experience in training junior bankers.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; defend their validity concisely.
  • Very strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines; synthesize large amounts of information.
  • Adaptability; manage projects independently and take responsibility in a team.
  • Ability to interact with clients professionally and maturely.
  • Strong understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks in large investment banks.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as the primary day-to-day client point of contact and lead banker on deals.
  • Reviewing and coordinating the analytic work of junior bankers to move marketing/execution forward.
  • Refining marketing/execution materials for maximum client impact.
  • Overseeing the creation of financial projection models.
  • Identifying and managing all risks in a given deal.
  • Liaising with lawyers, accountants and counterparties on transactions.
  • Leading client negotiations, Q&A processes and management interviews.
