Job summary

Citigroup Global Markets Inc. in New York seeks a Systemic Trader, VP to trade bonds and ETFs, optimize liquidity, and collaborate with clients to structure trades that meet objectives.

The role involves working with quantitative analysts to enhance the bond trading algorithm and identify new revenue opportunities. A telecommuting/hybrid schedule may be allowed within a commutable distance from the worksite per Citi policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Operations Research and Information Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 3 years of experience.
• Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in ETF/bond trading.
• Experience in Python, KDB, and trading algorithm development and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Trade bonds and ETFs using Citi bond algorithm to maximize market share and revenue.
• Identify arbitrage opportunities in corporate bond ETFs based on liquidity and prices.
• Optimize and execute bond portfolio lists to minimize transaction costs and achieve objectives.
• Work with clients to understand needs and structure trades accordingly.
• Provide market information to ETF providers and help manage ETF liquidity via creation/redemption trades.
• Collaborate with quantitative analysts to improve trading algorithms.
• Conduct self-driven research to identify new revenue opportunities.
• Supervise junior analysts and distribute tasks efficiently.
• Telecommuting/hybrid work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite per Citi policies.
