Job summary

Backstory is seeking a VP/SVP of Finance to lead finance end to end for its enterprise B2B software business. Reporting to the CEO, you will head a lean team, represent Finance on the executive team, and support board and investor reporting.

You will own the annual budget, build scenario models, and manage rolling forecasts for revenue, headcount, opex, and cash, while ensuring timely monthly closes and GAAP-compliant statements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive finance leadership, currently as an SVP or VP ready to step up.
• Time at a productized, enterprise B2B software company of $50M–$100M ARR.
• Fluency in SaaS metrics, hands-on ownership of the close, and experience with ASC 606 and external auditors.
