Job description

About the Role

Own the work that makes every unit of hardware cheaper to produce, more reliable in the field, and less risky to supply while defining the function that will support the company as it scales.

Hardware cost reduction, casino‑floor reliability, and global manufacturing discipline. This VP role bridges engineering, contract manufacturing, procurement, and field performance.

We are hiring a VP, Supply Chain & Value Engineering based in Las Vegas with extensive travel to Macau, Shenzhen, and Brisbane.

Responsibilities
  • Define the organization’s should‑cost methodology and cost target process.
  • Build and maintain the BOM cost baseline and cost‑reduction roadmap.
  • Lead DFM reviews on active NPI programs as a formal engineering gate.
  • Run component rationalization and substitution programs against approved specifications.
  • Embed cost and manufacturability thinking into engineering decision reviews.
  • Co‑own the Shenzhen contract manufacturer strategy with procurement leadership.
  • Negotiate component pricing, tooling costs, and production agreements using should‑cost evidence.
  • Define a CM quality framework, including inspection protocols, defect targets, and corrective action processes.
  • Qualify new CM partners, SKUs, and component variants as capacity, risk, or regulation requires.
  • Manage constrained component allocation strategy for compute, GPU, and other high‑risk parts.
  • Set strategic procurement direction for AVLs, dual sourcing, lead‑time risk, and category strategy.
  • Own category strategy for high‑value/high‑risk components and long‑term supply agreements.
  • Lead build‑vs‑buy analysis for major assemblies and present recommendations to the CDO.
  • Maintain a standing feedback loop with IGL and casino‑floor deployments.
  • Translate field failure data into requalification, serviceability, DFM, and sourcing actions.
  • Ensure cost reduction never undermines supportability or casino‑floor service requirements.
  • Define the approved 2026 headcount, role scope, and hiring rationale.
  • Shape the future operating model for Value Engineering & Hardware Operations as the company scales.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years in hardware engineering, value engineering, manufacturing, or closely related hardware operations leadership.
  • Demonstrated measurable BOM cost reduction on a hardware product and ability to build should‑cost models.
  • Contract manufacturing experience, including pricing negotiation, quality programs, and factory‑facing operating knowledge.
  • Credible technical fluency to participate in DFM reviews and challenge design‑for‑cost decisions.
  • Ability to balance cost, reliability, and supportability as simultaneous constraints.
  • Experience working across multiple geographies and time zones.
  • Comfort operating as a senior individual contributor with VP‑level mandate and limited initial team support.
  • Professional spoken and written English; proficiency with relevant computer applications and AI productivity tools.
Why Join Us
  • Live product, profitable business, global casino‑floor footprint.
  • High‑ownership VP mandate with direct access to executive decision makers.
  • Opportunity to define a critical function rather than inherit a mature bureaucracy.
  • Meaningful travel and factory/field exposure across Las Vegas, Macau, Shenzhen, and Brisbane.
