Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in New York seeks a Vice President-level structurer to help structure, rate, and distribute lending facilities backed by corporate credit portfolios.

The role spans origination, negotiation, and risk management, with close collaboration across risk, operations, sales, legal, tax and accounting teams. The candidate will work on every stage of a transaction’s lifecycle, developing innovative financing solutions and coordinating periodic reviews with borrowers and partners.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in structuring and/or rating complex structured products.
• Solid understanding of the corporate credit market, including leveraged loans, corporate bonds, CLOs, CFOs, and other asset-backed securities.
• Knowledge of private debt funds, SPV/SPE structures, and lending facilities backed by portfolios of corporate credit assets.
• Strong cash-flow modelling skills and experience in analyzing complex debt structures.
• Foundational financial statement analysis in a corporate debt context.
• Experience on a sell-side securitization desk or at a rating agency is preferred.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Candidate must be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Draft transaction term sheets and lead client negotiations.
• Review transaction documentation and coordinate rating agency interactions.
• Identify key structural and risk factors and present mitigation strategies to risk partners.
• Collaborate with potential syndicate partners to distribute risk.
• Originate and develop innovative financing solutions for complex credit facilities.
• Coordinate reviews with borrowers and internal/external partners on portfolio developments.
