Job summary

BNY Berkshire? Fixed Income Trader position in Boston, MA, is seeking a skilled professional to join the Buyside Trading Solutions team.

You will manage complex order flows, execute trades efficiently, and collaborate with middle office and counterparties to ensure accurate trade bookings. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of institutional FI trading experience, with strong quantitative skills and knowledge of Python, R or SQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in institutional trading of Fixed Income products; experience trading a broad category of FI products is preferred.
• Quantitative skillset and experience with some combination of Python, R and SQL is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment without compromising attention to detail or risk management.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of executing complex order flow, as part of a buy‑side trading organization, and in accordance with best execution procedures.
• Ensure client orders are executed in an efficient, timely, cost‑effective manner, and in line with trade instructions. Work closely with peers in middle office and with counterparties to ensure efficient and accurate booking of trades.
• Collaborate with the investment team, trade support, quant research, and engineering teams to evolve our trading practices and ensure efficient implementation of investment decisions.
• Maintain and develop constructive relationships with our internal clients, vendors and counterparties in a bid to constantly improve our processes.
