Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and managing a small team, you will provide financial insights, analysis, and guidance that contribute to informed strategic decision-making and profitability within the organization

Responsibilities

Financial Strategy and Planning:

• Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with its overall business objectives.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and performance metrics.
• Analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, and economic indicators to anticipate opportunities and challenges.

Strategic Analysis:

• Provide data-driven insights and analysis to guide strategic decision-making by the executive team and the board of directors.
• Evaluate potential investments, partnerships, and expansion opportunities, conducting thorough financial due diligence.
• Assess the financial impact of various scenarios to help the organization make informed choices

Financial Reporting and Performance Tracking:

• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, identifying trends and recommending actions to enhance operational and financial performance.

Risk Management:

• Identify and assess financial risks, proposing strategies to mitigate and manage these risks effectively.
• Stay updated on regulatory and compliance changes that could impact the company's financial operations.

Leadership and Collaboration:

• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Operations, Sales, Marketing, and HR to ensure financial alignment with business initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
• Proven experience (15+ years) in a similar global strategic financial role. Preferred experience with publications, events, research, consulting or data and services industries.
• At least 5+ years of managing and leading a global diverse team Strategic thinker comfortable working with abstract scenarios to identify and evaluate opportunities and outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret financial data, generate insights, and make strategic recommendations.
• Experience working with a SaaS software company.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools; advanced Excel skills are a must.
• Ability to synthesize large data sets and critical metrics and summarize for executive level review.
• Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing decision-making.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, compliance, and ethical financial practices.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
