What will you be doing?

Circana is the world’s leading advisor on consumer behavior complexities. As our business expands, strategic revenue management and consumer excellence are critical. The Senior Director, Strategic Special Pricing, will lead the development and execution of pricing strategies aligned with business goals and market demands. Reporting to the VP, Strategic Revenue Management, you will structure analytics to support revenue and margin growth, partner with commercial teams on deal processes, and collaborate across departments to manage pricing and revenue effectively.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Pricing Strategy Development: Manage product and service pricing structures, balancing profitability, competitiveness, customer needs, and strategic goals.
  2. Market Analysis: Conduct analyses of market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to inform decisions.
  3. Strategic Discount Planning: Collaborate with sales and marketing to design, test, and implement promotional strategies, managing budgets effectively.
  4. Revenue Optimization: Oversee pricing impact on revenue, adjust strategies to meet financial objectives.
  5. Stakeholder Support: Provide guidance during deal negotiations, coach teams on deal processes, and execute pricing programs.
  6. Data Management: Manage pricing systems and tools, lead upgrades for self-service analytics.
  7. Deal Frameworks: Design and execute innovative deal structures, ensuring adherence to delegation of authority.
  8. Enablers of Excellence: Standardize rate cards, deal economics, analytics, and process management.
  9. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate communication across key stakeholder groups.
Qualifications

Experience:

  • 7-10+ years in pricing management, preferably in B2B within CPG or SaaS industries.
  • Experience in customer success, contract negotiations, or product management is advantageous.
  • Proven success in executing pricing programs and negotiations.

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of media and data business models, especially in Retail, CPG, and General Merchandise.
  • Ability to quickly learn legal and finance terms.

Skills:

  • Advanced analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, familiarity with AI/ML analytics.
  • Strong communication and executive presence, influencing leadership stakeholders.
  • Leadership and influencing abilities with peers and partners.
  • Ability to simplify complex ideas for diverse audiences.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Economics, Finance, or related; Master’s preferred.

Mindset:

  • Data-driven, strategic thinker focused on growth and market dynamics.

This role is remote, based in the USA. The salary range is $160,000 - $190,000, with potential bonus and benefits. Compensation depends on experience, education, location, and other factors.
