Job summary

S.A. Comunale is seeking a VP of Design to provide nationwide managerial support to Sprinkler Designers. The role aims to grow sprinkler revenues while ensuring profitability, customer satisfaction, and NFPA compliance.

Reports to the VP, Engineering & Operations and collaborates with design staff and project managers. The position emphasizes administration, organization, reporting, data management, and customer service in a fast-paced environment, with travel required and a focus on

Qualifications

• 15+ years of Construction design experience.
• 5+ years in a management position.
• Understanding of Autocad Products. AutoSprink and/or HydraTec systems is a plus.
• Experience with Navisworks and basic knowledge of Revit; BIM experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar field is required.
• Travel is required; license a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to think strategically and build positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage designer schedules and contract deliverables.
• Develop S.A. Comunale BIM standards.
• Interface with Project Managers to review design vs. labor deficiencies.
• Daily scheduling of projects.
• Development of start and completion dates for the designers and monitoring of progress.
• Interface with customer coordination job specific.
• Weekly / monthly reviews of all designers with technical manager.
• Oversee current Branch Level Design Managers.
• Interface and develop design / fabrication standards to increase efficiency in fabrication shop.
• Continuing education seminars with design staff.
